Are you a designer who turns ideas into bold, on-brand visuals? Come create with us!
About the Role
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join our young and growing team at Meraqi. You’ll work across social, web, print, packaging, events and branding—translating briefs into clear, beautiful visual work that meets client objectives. The role demands creative flair, technical skill, and a professional approach to deadlines and production.
What You’ll Do (aka Your Superpowers)
- Meet clients and account managers to define project goals and requirements.
- Estimate timelines and resource needs in collaboration with account teams.
- Develop design briefs and translate them into creative concepts and layouts.
- Produce social creatives, web assets, ads, posters, packaging, and event collaterals.
- Sketch ideas, prepare polished layouts, and ready files for print or digital production.
- Proofread and QC designs to ensure accuracy and high-quality output.
- Work with photographers, illustrators and vendors to commission assets.
- Stay updated with design tools and emerging technologies to keep work fresh.
- Collaborate with writers, developers and marketers to deliver integrated campaigns.
What to Expect (besides the deadlines)
- A fast-paced, hands-on environment—expect to multitask across projects and formats.
- Mostly office-based in Kolkata, with occasional shoots, vendor meetings, and print checks.
- Deadlines can be tight and schedules may require late finishes; flexibility is key.
- A collaborative team culture where ideas are shared and iterated quickly.
What You Bring to the Table
We value practical experience and a strong portfolio. Ideally you’ll have:
- 2–3 years’ experience in an agency or similar creative environment.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office.
- Up-to-date knowledge of design trends and best practices.
- Bonus: experience with MailChimp, WordPress, Drupal, and basic HTML/CSS.
Skills That’ll Make You Shine
- Strong creative sensibility and a keen eye for typography, color, and layout.
- Technical competence in preparing files for print and digital production.
- Excellent time-management and ability to handle multiple briefs.
- Clear communicator and good collaborator with teams and vendors.
- Attention to detail, proofreading ability, and problem-solving mindset.
- Enthusiasm to learn, adapt, and experiment with new tools and formats.
If this sounds like you, bring your portfolio and let’s make great work together.
